Did you know: 2-18 year olds should be active, at a moderate to vigorous level, for at least 60 minutes every day? Did you also know that 4 out of 5 Irish children are NOT meeting this guideline? Children who have co-ordination or social difficulties or who struggle with throwing/catching/movement in general often find it hard to enjoy the competitive nature of some sports camps and can miss out on the fun. Happy Hoppers Summer Camp offers an alternative, fun, non-competitive, active summer camp running in Trim, Co. Meath, in age appropriate groups from 5-17 year olds. The camp is being organised and run by Emma and Niamh, Children's Occupational Therapists with over 20 years combined experience. Happy Hoppers has secured the superb venue of Aura Leisure Centre, Trim which offers state of the art facilities, modern equipment and plenty of parking. Camp activities will focus on enhancing ball skills, balance and co-ordination and also on boosting children's self-esteem, social skills and confidence. Get fit, make friends, have tons of fun at Happy Hoppers this summer. Contact Niamh on 086 2727665 or email info@thechildrensot.ie

If you are looking for something different in a camp this summer then The Craft Corner has what you need. The numbers are kept small so each child gets individual attention; the projects are diverse, challenging and fun. And in September they host an exhibition of all the fabulous work done during the summer months. A great hit last year with all the family. At Craft Corner, they believe that teaching your children crafts from a young age gives them a confidence in their ability to think independently. The craft projects are designed to enable the children to create in their own way and let their imagination take hold. No two projects look alike and that is the beauty of it.
